A cookie cannot see who you are, what your name is, what your address is and whether the computer is being used by one or more individuals. Neither can it spread computer viruses or other malware.

Why do we use cookies?

A cookie can serve several purposes, and in some cases several cookies are set to meet one purpose. We primarily make use of temporary cookies, which delete themselves after a set period of time. The cookies are renewed each time you visit this website. The information gathered is anonymous and is not merged with any personal information you may enter yourself, ie. in a contact form.

On www.vcsdenmark.com we use a combination of our own and third party cookies to:

  • Analyze how the website is used, so we can improve it. We use Google Universal Analytics for this purpose.
  • Handle and optimize dynamic maps based on ie. Google Maps.

Don’t you want cookies from Google Analytics?

If you do not wish to have cookies from Google Universal Analytics on your computer, we encourage you to read and follow these policies and guide lines and ie. install a browser add-on from Google. This disables all present and future cookies from any site using Google; not just www.vcsdenmark.com.

Disable cookies generally in your browser

You can thoose to disable all future cookies and delete the ones you have on your computer by changing the settings in your browser(s). Where you find the settings depends on which operating system and browser you use. You should be aware that after disabling cookies generally, many website functions and services will become inaccessible or will cease to work as designed, because they rely on the cookies’ ability to re-member your choices.

All browsers allow you to delete cookies piecewise or all at once. How you do it depends on the browser you use. Follow the links below for directions for the most commonly used browsers. Remember that if you use several browsers, you must delete the cookies for each one.

Why do we have these guidelines?

In short: To observe the law. The European Commission has passed a directive, popularly known as ‘the cookie directive’, about storage of files on citizens’ computers, which among other aspects concerns cookies and log files.
The directive is implemented in Danish law through “Executive Order on Information and Consent Requiring in Case of Storing or Accessing Information in End-User Terminal Equipment” (pdf).
