Denmark beat Scotland and the Czech Republic among others in the run to host the worlds largest water congress in 2020.

IWA announced earlier this month (October) that the World Water Congress & Exhibition in 2020 is going to be hosted in…Denmark!

The news were received with great excitement as VCS Denmark, other water utilities, DANVA and the municipality of Copenhagen for several years have been working intensely in bringing the largest water congress to the little Scandinavian country.

The world exhibition in 2020 is going to be a great showcase opportunity for innovative Danish water solutions and technologies, which already are globally renowned and are going to be in even greater demand in the near future because of climate changes - says Carl-Emil Larsen, director of the Danish Water and Wastewater Organization (DANVA).
