Sharing know-how in South Africa

The project addressed water technology within the areas of water supply, wastewater treatment processes and opportunities for water recycling and reuse.

The project aimed to provide input to a Best Practice Manual by which the successful use of technology can be replicated by all entities in South Africa involved in water aspects. In practice the project was based on Danish knowledge on water issues at VCS Denmark combined with participation and input from Drakenstein Municipality.

The Project focused on optimization and improvement of wastewater treatment plant performance, improvement of energy efficiency, and identification of water recycling and reuse application. The project period was 2014-2015.
